At AIMS Pharma, we believe that access to innovative cancer treatments should not depend on geography.
Today, millions of patients across Africa lack access to precision oncology, not because solutions do not exist, but because healthcare systems remain fragmented, biomarker testing is limited, and patient pathways are not structured.

Our mission is to build a new model of access to oncology innovation across Africa, combining:
Biomarker-driven diagnostics
Real-world data (RWE) generation
Scientific and clinical partnerships across Africa and Europe
Structured access to targeted therapies

We are building a medical and scientific platform designed to transform oncology care across Africa, with a strong focus on impact, scalability, and sustainability.

The Role

We are looking for a Co-founder – Chief Medical & Scientific Partnerships Officer (Oncology – Africa) to build and lead the medical and scientific foundation of AIMS across African markets.

This is a founding and hands-on role, combining:
Deep oncology expertise
Scientific program design
Strategic partnerships across Africa and Europe
Field execution in African healthcare environments

You will work directly with the Founder (CEO) to shape and scale AIMS’ medical and scientific ecosystem across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Medical & Scientific Strategy (Africa-focused)
Contribute to defining AIMS’ medical and scientific priorities across Africa
Identify unmet oncology needs in African healthcare systems
Translate these needs into concrete, scalable medical and scientific programs in Africa

Scientific Partnerships & Ecosystem Development (Africa & Europe)
Build and manage relationships with leading oncology centers in Europe and Africa, Key Opinion Leaders across African markets, and scientific societies and institutions
Structure and develop training and capacity-building programs in Africa, biomarker-driven initiatives adapted to African contexts, and collaborative research and RWE projects across African centers

Program Design & Execution (Multi-country Africa)
Transform ideas into structured medical and scientific programs by defining clinical questions relevant to African populations, identifying patient populations across African centers, designing data collection frameworks, and structuring workflows and collaborations
Ensure rigorous execution and follow-up across multiple African countries

Medical Leadership & Internal Expertise
Act as the medical reference within AIMS in oncology, including patient pathways in African healthcare systems, biomarkers and diagnostic strategies, targeted therapies and immunotherapies, and clinical guidelines and innovations
Contribute to the design of AIMS’ digital solutions (OncoConnect, BioConnect, OncoInsight)
Collaborate closely with the Biomarker Program Manager to ensure strong alignment between clinical needs and biomarker strategies

Education, Communication & Representation
Represent AIMS in scientific events and symposia across Africa and Europe, as well as expert discussions and institutional meetings
Contribute to scientific content and educational initiatives across Africa
Train internal teams, KAMs and partners operating in African markets

Profile

Background
MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent
Strong expertise in oncology (clinical, pharma, biotech or CRO)

Experience
Experience in Medical Affairs, scientific programs or clinical collaborations
Proven ability to engage with KOLs and healthcare institutions
Strong exposure to African healthcare environments or emerging markets is highly preferred

Key Skills
Strong understanding of precision oncology, biomarkers, and patient pathways in oncology
Ability to interact confidently with senior clinicians and KOLs, structure complex ideas into actionable programs, and operate in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and execution capability
Fluency in English is required. French is a strong plus, particularly for interactions in West and North Africa
