On January 11th, 2025, we at Kizuna Edge Talent Hub had the privilege of hosting our Virtual Career Fair for Recent Graduates, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about the impact it had! This event wasn’t just about connecting candidates with employers—it was about inspiring confidence, creating opportunities, and shaping the future for recent graduates and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) alike.

Empowering Graduates with Skills and Confidence

The fair began with sessions focused on transferable skills, and we could see the enthusiasm as attendees discovered new ways to articulate their unique abilities. From public speaking to teamwork and problem-solving, graduates learned how to reframe everyday experiences to make themselves stand out in the job market.

One of the attendees, James Otieno, shared his thoughts:
“The event taught me how to articulate my skills in a way that aligns with the job market. I also learned the value of crafting a strong elevator pitch, which helped me secure two interviews right after the fair. The CV template they provided was the icing on the cake—it gave my job applications a polished edge.”

SCL, one of the SMEs in attendance, found the event incredibly valuable.
“This career fair was a game-changer for us as an SME,” said Angela Mwangi, HR Manager at SCL. “We interviewed several candidates during the virtual sessions and found three incredibly talented graduates who perfectly fit our growth vision. The streamlined structure of the event made the hiring process seamless. We’ll definitely be participating in future fairs.”
